Christian Bickert

Christian Bickert comes from a farm near Frankfurt. After finishing school with university entrance qualifications and completing his military service, he studied Agronomics and Biology at the universities of Giessen and Bonn. He subsequently worked for three years as a research officer in the Department for Plant Cultivation at the University of Bonn where he obtained a doctorate (Dr. agr.).

Dr. Bickert gained practical experience in the corn seed Sales Department of Rustica Sacon Plant Breeding in Hamburg. In spring 1995 he joined DLG, where he observes and analyses the market for the trade magazines «DLG-Mitteilungen» and «Agrifuture». Since 2001 he has been a senior editor of both magazines. As lecturer at the DLG Academy, he also holds workshops and seminars for agribusiness executives. Dr. Bickert is one of the few independent market observers in Germany and is highly respected as analyst in this sector. Dr. Bickert also runs the family farm near Frankfurt and manages another farm in Western Romania.

Viktor Korchyn

FE «Agro-Aliance» was founded 10 years ago. Farm is situated in Kherson region, Beryslav district. The farm has 2 000 ha of land. The soil is south-ukrainian black earth, 80% of it is heavy loam, 20% — mid-loamy soil. The humus contents floats from 1.95 to 2.3%. Yearly precipitation level is about 380 — 390 mm.

No-till technology, which is now called soil-protection horticulture, is used for already 7 years.

Mykola Kulbida

Ukrainian hydro meteorological center is the main production and methodical organization of national hydro meteorological service on the questions of analysis and forecasts of meteorological agrimeteorological and hydrological conditions, information supply service for citizens of Ukraine, state enterprises and other users whose activity depends on hydro meteorological conditions.

Ukrainian hydro meteorological center is a national center of sharing hydro meteorological data with world and regional centers of World Meteorological Organization (WMO) whis is the specialized agency of UNO.
